Denied By Access Rules (FTP)

Problem

You get the error message “Denied by Access Rules” when connecting to the FTP server

Solutions

This error means that you have connected to the CPR FTP server, but are getting denied access. This may be due to one of the following reasons:

Your outgoing IP-address may not be whitelisted in the CPR system.

Make sure that you have been whitelisted by CPR-Kontorets Customer Service. If you have not already done so, create a Service Request.

If you are still getting the error, verify that your outgoing IP-address is the same as the one whitelisted by CPR. See https://cprservicedesk.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSD/pages/7634971 for info on how to do this.

You may be using an invalid username/password combination

Verify that the username and password used to login is correct. If you no longer have your login information, create a Service Request regarding a password reset.

If you believe the user may have been locked, you will need to create a Service Request and have Customer Service reset your user.

Users that are inactive for long periods of time may be marked as expired. If your user has expired, create a Service Request to have Customer Service reset it.

If you use SSH to login to the FTP server, your private key may have changed since you sent CPR your public key. In this case, you will need to create a Service Request and attach your new public key, so that it can be added to the system.
